Thomas Hengge is a photographer and video journalist based in Jersey City, New Jersey.
Along with covering news, he works as a staff photographer for Hearst Magazines across Runner’s World, Popular Mechanics, Bicycling Magazine, and Best Products. He also teaches multimedia journalism at NYU.
Before joining Hearst, he worked for the Philadelphia Inquirer as a Staff Photographer and Video Journalist on contract through Military Veterans in Journalism.
His photographs and videos have been featured in TIME, The Atlantic, The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Associated Press, The Guardian, Sports Illustrated, The Sunday Times, PBS Newshour and more.
He is a United States Army infantry veteran, graduate of Fordham University, and earned an MA in journalism from New York University.
When Thomas is not making photos or videos, he is probably riding his bicycle, or writing about himself in the third person.
